SKY GARDEN apart-hotel is located in one of the ecologically cleanest areas of Moscow, surrounded by the green jungle of the Botanical Garden.
The Botanical Garden of the Academy of Sciences is the largest in Europe, with the richest collection of plants, numbering over 17 thousand species and varieties. It was founded in 1945. Today its territory has more than 330 hectares of land.
The main task of the Botanical Garden is to preserve biological diversity. The arboretum of the garden is almost 2000 species of trees and shrubs from all over the world. The expositions «Rosary», «Garden of continuous flowering», «Garden of coastal plants», «Japanese rock garden» and «Shadow garden» have a gorgeous collection of ornamental plants, in the greenhouse, the number of species and forms of tropical and subtropical plants exceeded 6,000.
In the Botanical Garden, there are almost no nameplates near the plants, and visitors have picnics on the grass, relax by the ponds, breathing oxygen-rich air atypical for Moscow, sunbathe, ride bicycles and rollerblades.
Walking further, you smoothly enter the territory of VDNKh — the world’s largest exhibition center. More than 20 million people visit it annually, and at least one and a half hundred expositions and exhibitions take place on the territory.
Thematic pavilions, architectural masterpieces, unique fountains are monuments of cultural heritage of federal significance. From year to year, VDNKh becomes a platform for various festivals and folk holidays. In summer, the exhibition complex turns into a popular concert venue where famous musicians perform, and in winter one of the main skating rinks of the capital operates.
